QR codes for household packaging that scan at the checkout
One code that rings up at the till and takes shoppers to usage instructions, safety information or how to recycle the pack — GS1-correct, and editable after it's printed.

Why a 2D barcode for household goods?
Household and everyday products — cleaning, pet, garden — carry usage steps, safety and hazard information and disposal guidance that rarely fit clearly on the pack. A GS1 Digital Link QR code moves that detail to a page a shopper can actually read, behind a single scan.
Because the code can carry a batch or lot number, you can tie safety data or a recall to a specific production run, and update what shoppers see without reprinting.
It still scans as an ordinary product barcode at the checkout, so nothing about ringing up the sale changes.
What to put behind the code
- How to use it safely, step by step
- Safety, hazard and first-aid information
- Dosage or dilution guidance
- Recycling and safe disposal
- Refill and subscription options
- Ingredient or material transparency

Common questions
Will it scan at retail checkouts?
Yes. It's a GS1 Digital Link around your existing GTIN, read offline by the till exactly like your current barcode.
Can it hold safety and hazard information?
The code links to a mobile page you control, so it can carry full usage, safety and disposal guidance — more than fits on the pack — and you can update it any time.
Can I link a specific batch to a safety notice or recall?
Yes. A code can carry a batch or lot number (AI 10), and you can point one production run at its own page — a safety update or recall — while the rest keep their normal destination.
Is it free?
The core is free while we're in beta, and 10 products stay free forever. When billing starts, Pro is £10/month with your own domain on the codes included, and founding members get their first year at half price.
