Getting started
From nothing to a print-ready code takes about five minutes. Nothing here needs a card, and every choice you make can be changed after the code is printed — that is the point of the product.
1. Create an account
Enter your email at app.2dready.com and we send a magic link — no password to invent or remember. Ten products are free, no card required.
2. Register a product
A product is identified by its GTIN — the number under the barcode you already print. Type it, paste it, or scan the barcode with your phone. Add the product's name, brand and a photo if you want them shown to shoppers later; they can wait. If GTINs are new territory, start with what a GS1 Digital Link is.
3. Download the QR code
Every registered product has a print-ready GS1 Digital Link QR code: SVG for packaging artwork, PNG for screens, with the four-module quiet zone GS1 requires already part of the file. Size it with the print size guide — the minimum module width at retail point of sale is a hard figure, not a judgement call.
4. Choose what a scan opens
Point the code at any destination URL — your product page, a recipe, a form — or turn on a hosted page and we serve one at the scan URL itself, built from a template you control. Lot and serial rules can send specific batches somewhere else entirely, which is how targeted recalls work.
5. Change your mind, forever
Destinations, hosted pages, batch rules — all editable at any time, with codes already on shelves following along and no reprint. The code on the pack encodes the identifier, not the destination; where it resolves is yours to change.
